Frequently asked questions
Why did merge fail for my password-protected PDF?
Locked PDFs cannot be merged directly. Open PDF Unlock, remove the password, then add the unlocked file to your merge list.
How many PDFs can I merge?
You can merge as many PDFs as you need in one session, as long as each file is 25 MB or smaller and not password-protected.
Is the merge order preserved?
Yes. Files are merged in the order they appear in your file picker selection.
What if one file is damaged?
Every file must be a valid PDF that opens normally in a reader. Remove or replace any damaged file and try again.
Are my files stored?
No. Files are processed on our server and deleted immediately after the merged PDF is generated.
